Hola and bienvenidos!
This page was designed by me as a means of letting parents get a glimpse of what we do in Spanish class at OLMC School. It is also for parents as well as students to check in to see when homework and other assignments are issued and due.
Spanish classes are taught every Monday for grades K-6. Typically, grades 2-6 learn the same material, but tailored to their grade level. For example, grades 2-6 all learned about food on the same day, however, the older students, ,such as fifth graders, were held more accountable/responsible than younger students in third grade.
Sixth grade: Monday 2/11/13- During a previous class, we had been discussing trabajos (jobs/occupations) in anticipation of an upcoming project. During that time, grades 2-6 let me know I was missing many trabajos from my list. We compiled a second list based on the professions of members of their families. I then distributed this continuation and assigned and went over their next project. Many students were missing on this day due to inclement weather. They will receive their project sheets on Wednesday 2/13/13 during Computer class, as well as an explanation of the project.

Third grade: Same as Sixth grade, however, a smaller version of the "mi familia" project was distributed.

First Grade: First grade has been diligently working on a booklet that is near completion! It is exciting to watch it finally come together after all of their hard work! Every week in class, each students has learned at least 6-10 random vocabulary words that went along with our ongoing project. We have also learned songs that have taught us the days of the week and numbers 1-10.
Kindergarten: Same as First grade
